Xmed has been founded on the initiative of a group of professional people who have been operating in the medical business for a combined period of over 20 years, with the aim of satisfying specific needs in the endoscopy market. On the basis of the requirements expressed by end users of endoscopic techniques, xmed has developed a line of sterile disposable medical devices for the protection of rigid and flexible endoscopes.

The device manufactured and marketed by xmed, consists of a flexible elastic sheath designed to protect the endoscope from bacterial and viral contamination during the use for diagnostic purposes, thus avoiding the need to sterilize the instrument. The sheath, moreover, assures greater longevity of the delicate and costly endoscope.

Xmed currently operates in the otolaryngology sectors. Further devices are being developed for other endoscopic sectors, since xmed wishes to establish itself as an extreme flexible company aware of these particular and specific requirements for endoscopy, which is becoming an ever more popular diagnostic and operative technique.
